Mash Recipe


Ingredients

1 kg Maris Piper or King Edward potatoes, peeled

250g butter, good quality

Salt and pepper


Preparation

  1. Quarter each of the potatoes and place in a deep saucepan, cover with cold water and add a pinch of salt.

  2. Bring to the boil and boil for 30 minutes until the potatoes are totally soft and tender.

  3. Drain the water and using a potato masher. Mash the potatoes adding the melted butter and seasoning to taste.

  4. You want it to be totally smooth, buttery and seasoned perfectly.
