Corner House Canterbury reviewed by The Humble Pescatarian

The Food is absolutely out of this world. I’ve been to a lot of places across Kent and cannot believe that not only have I not really heard much of a buzz about The Corner House but also how incredible the food is.

To start I had the mackerel with a trio of beetroots and a horseradish cream – the mackerel was sweet and delicious, melting away in my mouth but the beetroot was incredible. On the base of the plate, the mackerel was sat on some thinly sliced pickled beetroot coloured with turmeric and the sweetness of the beetroot served with the creamy strong horseradish was like an explosion of flavour in my mouth – so beautiful.

You have to go to this hidden gem. I’m kicking myself that I haven’t been here before because it’s now top of my list for future visits. They have great deals and events for those who want to save a few pounds but their pricing structure is incredibly fair for the amount of effort gone into your plate of food and the atmosphere is so welcoming, fabulous drinks menu and very comfortable and quiet. The food though, is out of this world good – you can tell that every chef in the kitchen takes the quality of their food to heart and that shows on the plate.
