Owner / Restaurateur

After working in London for Anthony Demetre, Adam Byatt and Gordon Ramsay in June 2013, Matt opened the first Corner House restaurant in Minster to critical acclaim. Matt passionately believes that there are many corners of Kent and beyond that would welcome Corner House restaurants and has exciting plans for the future of the brand. Matt comments "Team Corner House work with me, not for me. Together we will achieve restaurants that are a little different. I am lucky enough to work with a top team".

Mark Cragg

Mark Cragg

Head Chef, Canterbury

Lancashire born and bred, Mark joined the Corner House team in November 2014 as Sous Chef in our Minster restaurant. He started his career with Mitchells of Lancaster in their flagship 15 bedroom hotel, The Mill Inn where he became Head Chef at the age of 18. During this time he also gained his level 3 in Professional Cookery at Morecambe college. Mark went on to head up other kitchens including a rosette restaurant and the award winning Waterwitch Pub in Lancaster.

Christopher Larman

Christopher Larman

Sous Chef, Canterbury

Chris, originally from Cheltenham started with us as Sous chef in July this year. He has been a chef 15 years and before this he ran his own business in hospitality for 20 years. When Chris is not working he enjoys making his own sourdough, yoghurts and bacon!

Rowan Trim

Rowan Trim

Restaurant Manager, Canterbury

Rowan joined the Corner House team in March 2016 and worked in our Minster restaurant before moving over for the opening of the Canterbury site. Rowan, originally from Plymouth, came to Canterbury to study Astrophysics at Kent University which he did for 2 years. Rowan is also a very keen poker player and has reached 3 Grand Finals and won a London tournament.

Predrag Kostic

Predrag Kostic

Head Chef, Minster

Originally from Serbia, Predrag trained at Thanet College, achieving not only his level three, but was a National Finalist for "Best of British 2012" at Hotelympia. Predrag went on to train at Richard Philips Pearsons Arms in Whitstable, and joined Team Corner House in January 2014.

Emma May

Emma May

Operations Manager

Emma first joined the Corner House team as Restaurant Manager in our Minster site in November 2014. Emma previously managed the award winning Waterwitch canal side pub in Lancaster which specialised in homecooked, seasonal food and local cask ales. During her time there, it received the accolade of Best Pub in the North West. Emma attended Lancaster University, achieving a BA in Philosophy and wrote her dissertation on Bob Dylan.
